LR4 rear heater switch
Hi Everyone,
my rear heater switch is not working. I got a new switch how do you get the old switch out. I assume I have to remove the whole console. I am a bit compromised these days working with paralysis on one side. Can anybody tell me how to remove the console to replace the switch. The fuse was fine and so I want to try replacing the switch. Thank you for any direction.
cheers…Jason

What year LR4? Do you have a manual and wiring diagram? I haven’t removed the console before, but the manuals would help you out. They are floating around on the internet. If you don’t have them, I’ll try to help you locate a copy.
By rear heater switch, I assume you mean the booster fan located in the rear quarter area - or do you mean something else (rear window heating elements). Also, not sure if your in the US and have the electric rear heater, or some countries had a fuel fired rear booster.
The one thing that occurs to me is that some of these components have two fuses, one in the engine junction box and one in the central junction box (passenger compartment under the dash). Did you check both spots for blown fuses?
