LR4 Rear Windows stopped working. Fix below.
After having had a dead battery the rear windows would not lower or raise. Tried resetting using the window switches to reset auto up and auto down. No luck.
I pulled fuse 39 and 44 in the fuse block behind the glove box and the windows now work again. Then with windows rolled up, held switch in up position for a few seconds and auto up and down work.
That's it. Hope this helps someone.
Here's another interesting discovery (no pun intended)... Before I discovered that the rear windows were not working the alarm system would not arm. It would just beep twice as if I had left a door, bonnet or tailgate open. I assumed it was a bad bonnet sensor as I had this problem with my LR3 I owned previously. Well, after resetting/rebooting the rear windows, the alarm system once again works. So pulling those fuses fixed both issues.
The only remaining mystery is why the battery drained in the first place. It is a one year old Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM). We were gone for about 10 days and upon our return the battery was completely dead. I put it on a charger and it's been holding a charge since. The only anomaly was a very slight amount of corrosion on the positive terminal.

Grady, Thank you for posting that. Its a very interesting find, and glad somebody had a similar experience as me.
We had an LR4 doing the exact same thing and with the tester connected, we had no communication with either back door. We had disconnected the door pass-through to check for Power, Ground and LIN-Bus activity and all was good. Once re-connected, the windows started working.
We were not sure if it was a connection problem that was restored once disconnected/reconnected or the Door Modules just needed a "reboot". Your post confirms it just needed a reboot and pulling the fuses is a simpler way to achieve this.
Well done!

You're a real life saver!
Thanks,

Glad to hear this was helpful.
I solved the battery drain mystery. I had altered the settings on my dash cam and that little device sat there and drained the battery in 10 days time.

It worked like a charm! I'm back in business. I'm glad you solved your battery drain issue. My problem was that my wife accidentally turned the lights on (manual mode) and didn't realize it. 2 days later, when I went to use the car, completely and utterly dead.
