LR4 sunroof

I have a LR4 HSE lux with 76000 miles. My sunroof drain on the right side drains into the passenger floor. I never use my sunroofs, can I just use flex tape around the entire sunroof? Will that fix my issue

Sorry it's a 2015. Landrover wants 2k to replace the right side drains

I repaired mine DIY four years ago and have not had a leak since. I followed this YouTube video using the connection fittings that he recommended.

Sunroof drain leak

I'm not sure I could do all that. And not sure where the break in the tube is. If flex tape would work I'm willing to keep the sunroof shut permanently. In theory it should work , but still worried. My local mechanic has blown out the sunroof drain, replaced the windshield cowling,
I finally took it to landrover who quoted 2 k.
