Default Lr4 - timing chain replacement and what else?

Hi,

I recently picked up a nice LR4 2012 without the turbo and it requires a timing chain replacement.

Since the job is big, what else / other components could someone recommend that I tackle with the engine being exposed?

It has 170,000 km / 105,000 miles.

thanks and I look forward to your replies.

Since the front of the engine comes apart, it is good time to replace all the coolant hoses, water pumps and flush the radiator.

I was told to replace the oil pump on my LR3. Not sure if this applies to the LR4 as well, but as you say given the engine is open, it is a good time to do those sort of items. In my experience with Land Rover, it doesn't matter what you change - something else will break!

Replacing the oil pump on LR3/D3 is a diesel thing, they have a tendency to break for certain model years.
