Is it possible to swap my 2011 Navigation system for a newer unit from a 2012-2015 model? Mine has the old software which sucks. I would like to have the Inconrol 2.1 system. can you swap the screen and the navigation controller to upgrade this?

 

If there is I will gladly swap mine with yours. I prefer the previous version much more than the "upgraded" system.

 

Has anyone here tried this Apple CarPlay module that works with the factory screen and system?

 

I looked into this, and talked to the guys who are selling it. It only works on the 2012 up LR4. So I was out of luck. That was the reason for my post above asking if you can retrofit the newer in touch system

 

Im currently upgrading my info display and player system, I’ve purchased lcd/screen and player(cd,dvd, Bluetooth) from a 2012 LR2 together with harness. Planning to add head rest monitors after, i have a 2012 which is an HSE (white) and a 2011 HSE Lux though previous owner opted not to have it with monitors when he first purchased the truck the year 2015. Hoping no more programming needed on it after I sold my GAP tool. I’ll be posting updates if everything works out.

LR4 2012 HSE facelift and tail lights updated with all OE parts, 217,000 original mileage, original engine 5.0 v8, still runs top speed 145mph running on 20” rims, 275/55/20 bfg KO2, 0-60mph in 4 secs non supercharged. 😆
