changed the purge valve. Nothing

I’m trying to get the canister out to see if it’s clogged so I can run some air but I can’t figure out how to get tge damn thing out. Plate covering it. I’m a novice. Can I run air through it while still attached to the lines?

 

P0442 is a code for a small leak in the evap system. Do you have any other drivability issues? When you say it farts every 20 seconds, you mean just sitting it’s letting pressure out the cap?

Fuel cap leaks are the most common cause for this code. Maybe start there if you haven’t already replaced.

I don’t have the procedure for the canister removal, but I remembers seeing some posts or videos. Maybe search/post over at landroverworld.org.

 

Besides purge valve the DMTL pump can cause that code.

 

JLGLR, do you have any remove and replace the evap detection valve resources you can steer me towards?
