ok, The LR4 driven in salt areas is among other things prone to rust in a few critical areas. Check the sills [especially if side steps are preset], also pay close attention to the hard brake lines from the front to the rear [they apparently were not coated and can rust through]. Control arms can also degrade from rust but are pretty beefy although the bushings wear out quickly and risty bolts will require cutting out to r&r the control arms.
Also remove the trailer hitch cover [the rear crossmember can rust badly as it is sort of a trap back there for brine]. good luck with the other issues. when sorted, you will love the LR4
