Question O2 sensor help please

I have a 2010 LR4 HSE that’s been a challenge since purchased a couple of months ago. Shortly after the purchase, the air shocks on the front began leaking. I replaced those (no easy task) and was met almost immediately with a P0133 code (bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor). I tried a couple of things before going ahead and buying a new sensor. Does anyone have a clear procedure on how to replace this sensor? There are a couple of “here’s where the sensor is, just unplug it and deinstall before installing and plugging in the new one” videos, but I’ve not had any luck with a good, concise procedure for a 5.0 LR4 (2010). Any help will be much appreciated.

I don’t have an answer for you, but one thing to consider is that a bad O2 sensor may be an indicator of something bigger. I had one go bad and started digging. I am pretty sure I have a bad fuel injector (gas smell in oil). I need to look into it further.

It’s as simple as that. Remove the old, apply copper anti-seize to the new threads and tighten.

I will say, however, that removal is a pain in the butt, depending on which sensor you’re changing. Buy pb blaster, an O2 socket, and the O2 removal tool. For the rear sensors I had to work it from different directions and needed both tools to finally be able to break it free.

You’re talking about a 2010 Land Rover LR4? Downstream sensors don’t look bad to access. Upstream are a different story. Not as simple as that.
