I did a search but can't find anything for the code P0456. My scanner shows that ithat P0456 is an "evaporative emission system leak detected (very small leak)." Does anyone have any ideas one where to start to look for such a leak. The gas cap seemed tight, but I loosened and re-tightened it. I cleared the code and will see if it returns. You will probably need to do a smoke test at the gas cap. Also check to see if there is any gas stains or smell coming down the side of the tank(for sure sign if gas tank fuel pump seal leak)

It's best done when the gas tank is almost empty.

The 2 most likely culprits will be your fuel pump ring seal or a bad DMTL pump.

If you find no smoke escaping the system(need to check from gas cap through all the lines fore and aft of tank to the engine) then you will have to assume it's the DMTL pump.
