I've got the iCarsoft LR V4.0 tool and I need to program a new key for my 2016 LR4. This function is located under the Immobilizer menu. When opening the menu, you are presented with a Risk Warning message which says, "During key matching, incorrect procedures may cause new keys to be unrecognized while simultaneously invalidating existing keys, preventing vehicle startup". If you confirm, it presents another Risk Warning message saying you can irreversibly damage the vehicle.

I've looked online for specific step by step instructions (ideally with screenshots) for programming a new key but have found nothing.

Has anyone used the iCarsoft LR V4.0 to program a key, and if so, can you provide some step-by-step guidance? Is iCarsoft just covering their *** with the Risk Warning, and the likelihood of causing irreparable damage slim? I've watched the Lucky8 video which makes it look pretty straightforward, but he's using a different diagnostic tool.

Any info is appreciated.

You get a similar warning from the GAP tool as I recall. I would email the folks you made Icarsoft and ask for a step by step procedure
