Default Replacement headlamp bulbs

Hi everyone. I am looking for some good consumer advice. I have a 2012 LR4 HSE. One of my only let downs with this awesome vehicle is the quality of the headlights. The high beams and the fogs are great, but the low beams just seem a little dim and a little too yellow. I am planning to get some replacement bulbs. I know that I need H7 55w. Anyone suggest a good bulb? Philips? Sylvania? Anyone with bad experiences with quick burnout?

Thanks.

I replaecd the hi and low beams with Philips Crystal Vision Ultras. I have only had them in for a week so I cannot comment on life.

you can get the regular ones from Philips in Germany or you can buy any souped-up bulb

The regular ones last twice to four times as long as anything else. Among the short-life bulbs out there, the Xtreme Power and Nighthawk Platinum are the brightest and probably do not burn out any faster than an Xtra Vision (entry level performance bulb). Any of the performance bulbs will be rated at 1000 hrs and can be expected to last from 2 months to 1 year if you drive daily during dark hours.

I just installed the Sylvania ultra's... Disappointed, bright but still yellow, I'm going to swap them out with the Sylvania ZXE, next...

Compared to the original LR OEM bulbs, yes.

I can't say with the others that you've mentioned.
