Default Starting issues with first startup of the day

Newly acquired lr4 so don’t know too much history of it. Had a bad battery so replaced it. Went to start it and nothing. Read about the hold down the brake pedal and slowly depress the gas to reset the starter relay trick. Worked and started right up. Then proceeds to start up fine throughout the day.

the next morning and every morning afterwards I have to do the pedal trick but starts up. And again no pedal trick needed after that initial one throughout the day.

any ideas?? Heard about doing a hard rest but reluctant to try it just yet.

Actually... try this:
1. Do not depress brake pedal.
2. press and release start button
3. wait for all dings and chimes to stop
4. depress brake pedal
5. touch start button.

Why?? This allows all modules to complete their startup process, prior to the electrical power expensive engine start procedure. Something is interupting the start process on your vehicle. Without codes, its difficult to trace.
FWIW, I start all my vehicles with this procedure. Works like a charm. I also shut down all accessories prior to shutting down the engine.

Do you mean if you press and hold the start button, the ignition turns on, but the starter doesn't fire? It isn't clear what nothing means. What year is it?

I tried your method and it worked. Just have to be more patient when trying to start up the car I guess.

I'm not familiar with this "trick" but even with a new fresh battery, that doesn't mean it's fully charged. I'd start with testing the battery after sitting all night and see if the voltage is at least 12.6 volts. You don't note what year yours is.

I'm glad you're picking up my slack... I just get so tired of the fight of "its not the battery".
