Good day everyone

Looking for some advice , recently replaced the steering rack (2weeks ago )
While driving there is a rattling sound and vibration through the steering wheel, when locking the steering wheel either left or right the knocking gets worse
I am questioning was the new steering rack fitted without engaged or fixed correctly
Has anybody had any similar experience or changed the steering rack with any advice

I’ve changed out plenty of racks, never had that problem. Sounds like something is loose. I’d get under there and start tugging on components.

 

I change up the fluid and reservoir every 50,000. Perhaps I’ve avoided the the need to change the rack due to this maintenance?? Or is it enevitable?
