Tailgate won’t open. 2010

My gate won't open on 2012 LR4 HSE, Opened the panel only to find out the cable broke at the latch.
How to trip the latch without the cable attached.
I have ordered the latch assy, the solenoid, and switch assy
While I am in there I'll add a manual handle I got from powerfulukltd like I did on my 2008 LR3
Well finally opened. Now to source the carpet panel and fold down trim
