Default Turbo hose blown

Hi all

The last year my disco made like a strange dump valve noise when accelerating quick to over 2500 rpm,up until last week the noise became much worse ,after getting diagnosedby the mechanic it needs a pipe replacedat the back of the turbo ,my concern is the blown pipe us only a symtom of the turbo failing ,my question is has anybody had a similar experience and has there turbo stayed healthy after hose replacement, also have just recently got a intake manifold replaced

Thanks

I don’t know what year and model of vehicle you have.
But yes, the turbo case is a known weak spot on some vehicles. If on warranty, it would be replaced. In my case it no longer is. a quick weld at the shop fixed it up.

Thanks for the reply,it's 2013 ,just had the pipe replaced at the cost of 700 euro ,I hope this is not a underlying issue with the turbo
