Vibration at 50 MPH in 2011 LR4
Hi all, I have a 2011 LR4 5.0 V8 with 140K miles.
The entire car shudders, like a heavy vibration, as I pass through about 50-55 MPH on a flat highway. If I am going up a slight grade, the shudder will happen at a higher speed.
It is very noticeable, and it lasts about 2 seconds. It almost sounds like driving over rumble strips. I can't seem to keep the car vibrating by finding the exact speed. It always comes and goes.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

a tire has a bad spot, out of balance, when was the last time you rotated your tires. Check the rear drive shaft center bearing for any "extra" play. Check all your front steering and suspension parts.
It could be one of these.. or none of these. But you need to start checking...

Based on another thread, I just had my local independent do the transmission service / fluid change -- and there is definitely significant improvement. This has also improved RPM fluctuations at highway speed.
