Default Were LR4 timing chain tensioner issues fixed by 2013?

I've read about and talked with plenty of folks regarding the 2010-2012 LR4 models with the timing chain tensioner failure, so while I am well aware of that issue in that era, I simply haven't heard as much about post-2012 and I am looking at a used 2013.

I had read that at some point in 2012 they updated them from plastic to aluminum, thought there is no way to tell via VIN or production date which one a 2012 model might have so it's either a gamble, or the only way to know is if a previous owner had them done already.

So with that in mind - does the timing chain tensioner issue plague the 2013 or were they fixed to be made of metal by that year???

I ask because it can be a lot of work on every single vehicle to hunt down if this was done since most previous owners aren't sure. And I specifically ask because a one owner 2013 HSE LUX is for sale near me (from a used car dealership) and I'll certainly get a PPI on it but I want to know if the tensioners on this year are also a problem?

Thanks in advance!
