Default What’s your average MPG?

Curious what everyone’s getting these days.
’16 LR4 with 32” (275-55-20) nitto terra grappler. Get average 12.5 mpg mostly city driving. Lots of hills in Portland. Will kick up to 14 mpg on trips. Using only 92 octane from good stations.

I know the tires don’t help, wish the thing did a bit better..

On average, I get about 8-9 mpg in city and 13-14 mpg on highways. I have a 2013 LR4 w/ the V8 motor, running 275/65R18 BFG KO2s with 2.5" lift rods. Always 91 or higher octane gas.

Interesting. You’re right, the grapplers arent helping. I’m getting 18 mixed, 21 highway.
The obvious…. I have a different vehicle for spirited driving.
Tire pressures are adjusted to 1 lb below spec’d.
I perform alignments annually.
I typically drive marginally over the limit. I am not hard on the brakes. I use cruise control wherever I can.
Currently, I am not using the intelligent stop/start…. I might activate it this week.

I’ve found it makes a big difference if you are tracking manually (with the odometer/trip meter) vs the on-board mpg. The onboard mpg calculator is very optimistic in my experience - mine routinely reports high by at least 2 mpg. I track manually and get about 13.5-14.5. That’s suburban local roads, very little highway. I am running 18” rims with 266/60 E-rated KO2 tires (very similar circumference to stock, but a lot heavier).
