Thanks Mongosd2. With the rock crawling you're doing with your rig, do you think longer (about 12" longer than stock) 2" od x .250 wall dom links with johnny joints be able to take some punishment before bending too much? I live in Az and rock crawling is what I want to do. I'm running 3" rte springs, rte front and rear arms, 35" km2's, 12" fox emulsions, cones front and rear. Right now I'm wheeling gently until I get my detroit, hd axles and 4.11's in. Thanks.

Default well after much work testeing and preping the front is simi done

so i am going to address front steering,
and the rear is going to go full out craziness.

going to try to get mid mounted arms with 3 or 4 link on 16-18 coilovers , i am going to be cutting my wheel wheels out , and get my rear end to touch the frame , and build a new fender well for 12.5x35" tires at full tuck.. the aim is a trophy truck style rear end(a pore persons version) with coil overs and bypass's for maxim tune-ability .
might even go with a ford 9". to get cheaper lockers and cheaper stronger axles. but may go the rover route with my abundance of junk yard donor parts i am good for a while

we got the front end driving better then stock, i have less body roll, i can three wheel threw turns with the camber/castor set up, and retain some what stability.

what i do need is much more power , i am thanking a cam& re chip the old gems cpu, gearing , cus i have decided that i will be running at mat 35" tires most. unless i decide on the heavy bead locks , but for what im doing there kinda silly , i am trying to go fast and cycle, and not break (witch is what keeps happening when i am hammer down in the dirt. the goal after this thing is done is to be able to race it in the baja 250 or 500 and not break down the drive line , i have all ready went over my predicated budget and am now setting it retarded with

18 2.5 coilovers fox with dual rate maybe triple rate?
16" by pass fox
2.0 4" bump stops fox
50" rear link mid mount
fuel cell 45g ( i get less then 5 mpg in the dirt going kinda fast
finish the cage ( cut the top and try to weld it)

buy real race seats and race harnesses

and don't forget the race gps ,radio, tracker, and other gadgets i never knew existed

btw i am in san diego i test in Mexico and south east Ca , your more then welcome to hang out give advice or a hand , or just kick your tire and know u want to follow me but you love your rover a bit too much i also am trying to get a pit crew who will work for great food/beer and co seat time? i also would love sponcers by the time the rover is score ready , ill take some newer pictures with the light bar and all the goodies its been collecting

You talked with Elias Christeas at all? He's in CA and races a RRC in the Baja.
