Default Defender TD

Bought 1987 TD Feb 2023 to tidy up. Is fitted with TD5 chassis/ engine and other parts, and 2inch lifted suspension. Passed MOT easily and registered new owner with DLVA without problem, did not inspect or think of complications with the swaps from unknown time period. Have been warned it shou;ld not have original registration number, but should have Q plate, trally stuck as to way forward. Guidance would be greatly appreciated

Not sure what your question is? Are you concerned about the modification done? My understanding is...it would have had to have it's original frame (stamped with Vin#), correct engine and drivetrain, matching documents to be imported. So, it most likely met these requirements for import. After it here in the states...whoever owns it can do whatever they want, engine swaps, frame changes, etc, etc, etc.

A great resource for defender importation information can be found on "Defender Source" website.
