My 98 Disco has very dim backup lights and dark tint on the glass.
Anyone upgrade their lights? Hi-output bulbs?

I designed a rear bumper for my 99 D2 and didn't want to cut holes into the 2X4 box steel bumper face so I added a Hella Utility light, with a 100 watt bulb, mounting it to the plastice housing that is above the license plate. I have to tell you, I have more then enough light now.

I picked up a set of 55 watt reverse light bulbs ... Have not installed yet (want to check for proper fuses ect)

 

You shouldn't need to change the fuse, I am using 1 100 watt bulb in place of the 2 standard 15 watt bulbs andven't had any problem.
Remember you can bump those 55's up to 100's very easily.

we threw them in a couple of the police cruisers , they are BRIGHT ... I'm also concerned about melting the plastic covers
