Consider the OME shocks and springs, they will give you a good 2' lift for both road and trail.

Hi there. i'm a newbie to Land rovers and recently bought a 2 litre MPI, 94 disco. It's done about 196,000 kilos and came with sagging suspension. Even the self levelling ball joint needs replacing. I'm looking at changing the suspension and steering damper (if thats what you call it) Looked at OME, not very recommended here in Malaysia as most of them develop leaks after about 3 months. This is whats been said by the shops. Another brand is tough dog, also OZ and then there is Iron man, another OZ brand thats been around for about 5 years (as far as i can remember) please visit http://www.ironmansuspension.com/

My question is, has anyone here on the forum used this brand before orelse even heard of it? I'm looking at foam cell type shocks from their range. Am also concerned that the ride may become harsher after the change.. Please advice.

Hey there. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this lift http://www.toddcosuspensions.com/landrover.htmland was planning on the 2.5" kit. will there be any problems with the driveline angles, caster/camber issues, clearance? may have to go with the 2" version. also if I go with the OME springs, do I necessarily HAVE to buy new shocks? I dont really need that much articulation so...

While coil spacers can be great on new springs they are a bad idea on old ones. I would not recommend them. You will want 2" longer shocks too since even though you may not need the articulation now you do not want the shock being the limiting factor if you ever do. Unless your shocks are new anyways you can get a shock extensionkit that basically lowers or raises it the needed 2", chance are you need new shocks anyways so just buy the right size. If you feel you need the lift and do not have a lot of cash you can go with less expensive springs and shocks, just do not expect to have the best ride ever. Besides the ride factor is subjective anyways, what I think is acceptable you may not.

Good Luck.

You only use a set of spacers after install a H.D. set of coils and shocks, other wise you will have even a more top heavy vehicle off road.
Just go order either an OME or RTE lift and you will have it right and love the difference.

I think the best way to have a lift is to go 2" suspension and 2" lift. Going that way will not give you a hard time handling your wheels since you have too much time on the road.
