fender trimming (not for the rover purists)
so i got tired of my tires rubbing when i flexed out the rear suspension, and yes i know all you have to do is trim a little off the rear quarter panel, but welllllllll i like to grind and cut things...
so a few beers and a few hours and quite a few profane words and here we are....

the rear doors were the biggest pain... i've also recently removed all my carpet and discovered rust in my front floorboards, and removed the stock cd changer (which i think messed up my interior light, now it just blinks 7 times then goes off when the door is opened instead of staying on)

now it really is a Disco. Good job on the flare cutting, you gonna protect your fresh cuts with some plastic or metal?

i want fender flares, just cant afford them right now... since the outer body panels are all aluminum corrosion isnt really an issue... but if the paint starts fallin off or something i will figure something out
Looks good.
I have just been given a set of 265X70X16 (yours are 265/75/16?), and am likely going to need to do the same thing - is there a lift kit or is that a stock setup?
Great job again!
Cheers
Richard

Looks good. The last time I cut fenders like that was on my Jeep XJ. I did it a little different though, I made smaller cuts into the fender tot the size I wanted off and then heated the metal and bent each piece back, that way I did not have any sharp edges to worry about. Plus it gave a lot i strength back tot he outside of the fender.
