How to keep hi lift jack from rattling?

I removed the jump seats (SE7 so, SE5 now) and layed mine flat in the rear cargo area. Do u have jump seats? In use?

Removed jump seats but I have rear a/c and put in the storage comp pannel on right, mine is just fine where I have it

I do have jump seats. so that is a no go for me.
road trip today, made sure to get a couple of ratchet straps involved, for all the roof top cargo. that kept the jack quiet, but did nothing for the whistle of the tricycles.

Kids love the jump seats but I needed cargo room more then the seats

I have mine in the rear floor as well. I need to get it secured to something before it kills me or someone I love

I attached a bungee cord through the foot, and wrapped around the whole jack a few times and then attached in one of the holes on the jack. No rattles at all.

Well that is all fun and games but you're going to put your eye out!
I've been doing that too I just want to cleaner look

Mine rattles like hell but it's the base more than the handle. The neoprene boot might help. I think I might get one.
