How to keep hi lift jack from rattling?

I have a 60" as well so floor is not an option

i tried a boot, no help. still trying out different techniques. I plan to mount it in different position, again. so far ghetto bungee wrap is the only way I can shut it up.

It is the operable part (locking mechanism) on the actual I beam
I did some roof riding to know for sure (smart, I know )

Try some water pipe foam insulation. it is relatively inexpensive and can be cut to the size you need.
I have used it on cross rails to cushion canoes and kayaks.

So take the base off and just install it with a hitch clevis pin when needed.

Figured out a solution. Two zip ties pulling cam in opposing directions to I beam. This is the only thing I have done to keep it absolutely quiet. I carry extras, so no big deal. Can hardly see them.
