A few days ago i went out to buy a bumper for my Range Rover classic and this bumper was thrown in. I have never seen this bumper for the classics and I cannot find anything about them. If anyone could help thanks. I attached a picture.
It’s a rear bumper that folds up and down for the cargo doors.. hell, it was still in its box from 1987. That’s all I know about it. It was for a 1987 RRC.
this picture is not my picture. This is the only picture I have found of this bumper.
I can see why nobody bought or used it, it is on the ugly side of the spectrum. Now, if it folds out "flat" from the bumper, I bet you could make a table that sits on atop it for camping or other uses.
Thanks both of you for posing this. I also have a RRC that had this rear guard thrown in. I cannot find instructions, however I am installing it. It came with the original mounting hardware. The rear bumper needs to have two 7/16" holes drilled into it. The brackets for this Nudge Bar bolt to existing mounts on the frame next to the gas tank, and the other end sits OVER the rear bumper, and bolts through the holes that need to be drilled. The holes are vertical and line up with holes in the frame horn ends that are normally covered by the top channel of the stock bumper. These top holes are a blind hole, because the frame horn ends are totally boxed. I will see what kind of nut certs may work. Bearmack BA004 Rear nudge bar and carrier.
That being said, when the Nudge Bar brackets sandwich the bumper you get a pretty clean fit...for a big tubular thing hanging off your rear tailgate.
