Default Three questions

First question, I have been avoiding the 2003 discovery because I heard that the oil pumps are no good and cause the motor to blow and the only way to fix this problem is use a different motor. Is this true?

Second question, when using a aftermarket lift does this remove the air suspension?

Third question, there was a sticky that i found one time that reviewed suggested repairs and stuff to look for when buying a Disco but I cant find it again.

Thanks for the help!

1. Not all of them there was a vin range that was affected.

2. It depends on the lift kit you go with. Some folks go with spacers for the rear air bags and lift springs in front.

3. I'm sure it is there in the D2 forum somewhere

A lot of Discos you find on the sale rack have too many moving parts that are on their way out and the owner can not afford the constant and never-ending repairs! Driveshafts, transmissions, axle hubs, CV joints, differentials, radiators, cylinder heads and gaskets, coils, spark plugs and wire leads, heavy oil and fluid leaks, ABS system, power steering pump, AC condensor, alternator, starter, water-pump, thermostats and hose assemblies... All this Shiite is going out 12 years later and LR techs charge $100/hr and the parts they put on are at least $400 apiece, so
