Hi all,

Looking at potentially adding a D5 to the stable. Tested a ‘22 R-Dynamic HSE that supposedly has 20-way seats with massage. For the life of me, however, I can’t understand how they are 20-way seats. I was mostly interested in adjustable thigh support, which didn’t seem present. They were still quite comfortable but I’m wondering if I just missed a series of adjustments. What are the 20 ways?

It is 20 way im sure if you go on Land rover's website it shows. Also if you purchase a Disco you'll Love it just a side note
Includes driver's/passenger's powered adjustment of:

• Cushion forward/backward
• Cushion height
• Headrest height
• Cushion tilt
• Squab recline
• Squab bolster
• 4-way power lumbar

Manual adjustment of:

• Forward/backward
• Headrest wings

I have the d5 on order with the 20-way massaging seats, can't wait to see them.

I am expecting the massaging seats to be below my expectations, though others on the forum have said they are actually really good.

Almost positive they don't have the thigh-extensions like you would find in a BMW. Not sure that is an sedan only thing because of seat height difference?

 

i've never seen the thigh extensions on a discovery, but i will say that i truly enjoy the seat massagers! subtle as they are (and only on the backrest), i find that it helps when combined with the heated seat function. i'm disappointed that you can't get the massage seats on the new defender (my discovery lease is up this year).

 

What is Squab bolster and recline?

 

I dont even know its listed like that on the website

 

Looks like their terminology is cushion for the bottom and squab for the back. Glad to know the bolsters are adjustable!
