It's interesting you posted this. I had a brand new Velar last week when my car was in for annual service. And at one traffic light I tried to pull away and it wouldn't move - had come out of gear. I had to go to P and back to D to get it to go. Much to irritation of everyone behind me. I thought it was user error (not that I touched anything) - but seems the same as your issue.

Took it into a local dealer (not the one we purchased from), they had it for 2 days. Told them to check out a few things and mount new rims. They got the wheels done and did a half *** job on the rest.

Bottom line, they said it is "something electric with the grounding" and it would need to come back in for service that would take a few days. I personally feel they just didn't want to be bothered. Told them to look into the software update for the powertrain, no idea if they did or did not.

It hasn't stalled since that Pivi update notification so not sure I will send errrrr back in.

Took the dealer almost a week to track it down as it didn't show any codes in memory. They fixed it and tested it for a few days, It's a bit over 5000Km now and hasn't happened since.
Brand new MY22 took delivery in early feb, its got ~2500 miles so far. Same behaviour in mine and had just dropped my car off at the dealer to get a look over and a few other issues. Will update on whether they find anything or update anything to fix it.

I am assuming this only happens with eco boost on. Correct?

I'm sure you mean the eco-stop. It can be turned off in the Pivi screen as well as numerous threads here showing how to make that more permanent.
I'm guessing the underlying issue here though is probably more tightly tied into the mild hybrid system.

Yes, eco-stop. Autocorrect did a switch on me.

Power Control Module got updated by the dealership and I haven't encountered this issue again. Auto start/stop also seems to have been working a little better in terms of its responsiveness when you lift off the brake pedal.

If you're having this issue, worth bringing it in to just get it updated.
