Default After new defender releases with new Pivi Pro infotainment, i assume

That system will make its way in to the Disco and Range Rovers in 2021?

looks to be much faster.

Lord knows the current system is badly in need of a hard jettison. Too bad it can't be swapped out.

I’d be happy with wireless Apple CarPlay if they could add it. The nav apps and the streaming music are better than built in and the phone is much faster so I don’t even bother with the factory systems.

I have a 2018 Disco and the built in entertainment system grew on me over time. Wit the latest software release 19B the responsiveness increased and fortunately I never had issues with it.. I rarely use my Apple play. I like the map navigation integration into the driver display. My 2 cent.

That integration is a big advantage of the built in system.
that said, it is possible with CarPlay (from the latest iOS I think) but would require an update from Land Rover...

I had carplay installed for free on my 19A update but I'll never use it - don't want to plug my phone in, I keep it in my pocket and tend to drive instead of play with my phone.
Maybe traffic would move better if we didn't have to wait for people to put down their phone every time the red light turns green.

I still have 19A and my software says no update available.

I get it.

But I plug mine in all the time and don't play with my phone. I tuck it up in the cubby and leave it. For me, CarPlay integration allows me to use Waze, which I like better than the OEM map.

Exactly, CarPlay stops you playing with your phone, not enabled you to. Only a subset of functions work under CarPlay and it encourages you to use voice control rather than your eyes and hands.
I only use mine as a music source (which I can do under Bluetooth) and for navigating using Waze or Apple maps what CI require it he physically plugged in and that’s not as convenient on my commute as having it be wireless.
i would like to see them offer the app directions on the gauge cluster like they do the built in Nav. I believe it is possible.

@Sushisean - That first pic shows your Duratecs aired down. What do you typically shoot for in pressure?
