Did my girlfriends today. I've done this on both my cars (RRSs) and hated doing it each time. This time I picked up a nifty little tool (link below) to remove the residue from the older badges and completely disregarded the "stencil" and just used some blue painters tape to create my own. pictured below.

Looked best without any lettering. Waxing and cleaning around the lettering is a PITA. Glad to see the letters come off relatively easy!

 

Natelw - this looks great!
They should be coming out of the factory with "LAND ROVER" on the hood.
The tailgate I'm OK with as-is, but they should absolutely have the LR lettering on the hood...same as previous generations.

Nice. I agree black would look better. They do sell black decal lettering to go over the existing ones.
I was kind of thinking of replacing the Discovery lettering with NOT AN EXPLORER.
