Default Auto start/stop defeat

I thought I saw a thread on how to turn it off by default but couldn’t find it.

is this possible or am I wishful thinking?

Will be a great find, I keep catching myself to turn it off the first time the engine dies at a light. Wish they realize it is not a hybrid.

I worry about wear and tear on the starter. Particularly on a diesel.

Do you mean permanently turn it off? Or is there no longer a toggle button that you can press every time you start it up?

My 2019 still has the button you can press, but more often than not I forget till later in the drive and the engine dies.
I don't think it is good for the battery or starter system.

A permanent disable would be great, as it bugs my wife as well (and it is her daily driver).

I started making it a habit when I buckle my seat belt.... I hit the disable button as well as the normal ride height. It seems to be working for me so far.

It doesn't automagically go to NORMAL ride height after start?

Default trailer light tester plug?

I've scratched my head all over for permanently disable it and fund this video
since we have Ford and even 3l Diesel is Ford diesel , we might get most of the electronics similar from F150
this trick of installing dummy trailer light tester plug as well as other Ford F150 suggestion might work
As i dont have my hitch but Can someone try it and confirm ?
if so , we can make a dummy plug for the two hitch connectors that every Disco even without an installed tow bar has and solve this for good

without cutting wires and hacking deeper in to the car under the warranty :

Some interesting options.
I may look into the light tester on the D5 as it seems the simplest.
