Default Climate Control

Hey all, comparing some options on 2017 HSE models and have a question about the climate control system. The one I'm purchasing has the Cold Climate Package (front and rear heated seats), but noticed there are still rear climate control ***** in the back with vents on the pillars and not up above... Does that mean rear passengers can still control the temperature from the 2nd row seats or is that just to control the heated seats? If this doesn't have that capability is the ride still comfortable for 2nd row passengers? How about 3rd row? Have searched online, but no definitive answers. Any help would be great. Thanks!

My understanding of my 2017 is that it has a three zone climate control system. Driver, passenger and 2nd row. The conditioned air for the 2nd row comes from the pillar vents and ducts that run under the front seats. Both 2nd row ***** are hooked together to display the same temperature, they will not separate temperature settings but do allow one or the other side to control heated seats. The third row is at the mercy of the 2nd row unless you have the available third row AC option installed. There is an option in the front control screen to allow the driver to control all temperature settings to match the driver setting.

I really regret not getting the 4th row climate control. The B-pillar vents are not adequate for cooling the rear seats on hot days. Here in Texas, that is most days.

Thanks all. Greatly appreciate the help. I'm in KY where the summers can get pretty hot and the vehicle I've purchased is black on black.

Hoping the pillars and under seat vents are good enough, I guess we'll see! Wish they carried over the LR4 climate controls to this model. Regardless, still excited.
