CPO Warranty
Absolutely different warranty coverage. CPO is good but won’t cover everything that original warranty covers. I’d suggest you get a printed copy of CPO warranty for your records.
Also the approval process for a CPO repair is different for the dealer. More hoops to jump through and repairs could take longer.

I would still have the original manufacturers original warranty (if any left over) before CPO kicks in. CPO is 5 years and/or 100k miles. Correct?
CPO length can vary I believe. You shoould get it in writing.
If you can get them to make it last longer it would probably be worthwhile.
The CPO warranty is very good but it won't cover some items, foor example a piece of trim that falls off that would have been covered by original factory warranty.

Yes. As above it covers significant less. Not wear items, not rubber bushings etc. But it still has very good coverage and in my experience the dealer is v efficient at getting approvals and doing the work. Good peace of mind
Yes original full warranty runs until it expires as the CPO warranty coverage kicks in after that. These days it seems to add either 1 year (and up to 75k miles or 2 extra years to 100k. But they have changed it around a bit. Ask the dealer what their system shows - that's what matters

I bought a CPO D5 and it came with their extended warranty.
Overall I've been very impressed. My main issues have been interior items not working (headrest, seat memory, rattling trim, etc) and its all been covered.
But I would definitely shop around.
