Default Is it crazy to add heated seats after the fact?

Got do a deal on a 2017 new. It was advertised as having heated front seats. I caught last minute that the car did not have heated seats. The dealer said they could add them? Is this a bad idea? Will there be electrical issues down the road? If I do this I might also want to add the cooling compartment?

I cannot comment on how easy or hard it may be to add heated seats or the cooler box, but I'm not a fan of tearing apart a brand new vehicle unless its simple bolt on items such as a trailer hitch or other external items. I hate rattles of any kind, as such I would either accept the vehicle as is, or wait for the one I really wanted.

Just a comment on the cooler box- not worth it imho.

It came on my 2017 and it honestly doesn't cool very well. Four water bottles in there for several hours driving come out barely cooler than room temp. And if you have just one bottle in there, it won't really cool at all. Seems like they need to be in contact with the sidewalls to be even remotely effective.

Agreed about the cooler box. It would be easier and cheaper to buy a usb cooler box off Amazon.
