D5 TD6 engine oil temp Range
Hi all,
Towed my travel trailer from Seattle to Yellowstone and was monitoring oil temperature throughout the trip. Oil temp did reach 260f at one point for a brief period at the top of a steep mountain pass. I didn't have any faults, failures or decreased performance. Does anyone have land Rover documented oil temp ranges from the workshop manual or other credible source? I'm just curious. Internet lore says 260f is within acceptable range of synthetic oils.
