Default Disco is being towed

Running an errand and when I came out of the store the Disco wouldn't start. The doors unlocked and the interior lights illuminated, but the touch-screen and all the gauges were off. The brake pedal doesn't budge and pressing the Start button does nothing. My guess is that the start-up system can't read see the FOB (even if I put on the steering column and right near the Start button). Road-side tried to jump it, which did nothing. They couldn't tow it because it can't be put in gear, so they're sending out a truck with a dolly.
I'm open to any suggestions while waiting. I'll keep everybody posted as to what the issue ends up being in case it happens to you.

2018, it's 4 months old. Going to see if they'll add CarPlay while it's in.

Can somebody do me a favor and check to see if the brake pedal is locked when you get in your truck without the FOB? Also, what is active? I've got interior lights lit, the hazard button lit, & the fan icon on the AC dial, but no touch-screen or digital instrument panel at all. My assumption is that those systems only come on when the FOB is in range. There is power, so it really just looks like the truck doesn't see the FOB at all and won't power anything on. Tow truck will be another hour and said they would tow it to an impound lot overnight and then tow it to Land Rover service in the morning. I canceled the tow and I'm going to leave it where it is (a block from the house in a well-lit shopping center with a 24 hour market) instead of having it towed to a storage lot 20 miles away and then towed 20 miles back to the service center, which is only 5 miles from where it is now. I'll have them tow it in the morning when the service center is open and follow them there.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if the compute went on without the FOB being in the car as I've never gotten in the car without the FOB. Since your computer turned on, I might have a dead computer. I didn't think of the remote start, I'll try that this morning before the tow truck gets here at 7. I'm in Tustin, by the giant blimp hangars.
