Default Discovery V aftermarket hitch

Anyone find a decent aftermarket hitch kit for current discovery? I have owned two that both had factory hitches. Currently have a Defender 110 with hitch. Looking at buying a pre owed D5 for a daily driver, but a lot of them don’t have hitch. Looked into this a few years back and there were no good options at the time.

Nothing wrong with the factory hitch for the Discovery. I had it added after the fact by the local independent here.

Did that require any reprogramming or would that have been automatic based on added weight on rear suspension?

Nothing needed to be programmed for the lights to work. I haven't towed anything heavy yet. We mainly got it to tow a garden trailer to the home store for mulch and what not. The HSE Lux has self-leveling air suspension so I expect that it just works when it needs to.

I have installed the stealth hitch on mine, only used it a couple of times so far for lite things but I’m happy with it.
Was able to Install it myself, takes a little trimming on bottom of the bumper and it replaces a large metal bar that’s inside the plastic bumper.

@Jess- Thinking of going that route. Do you have any photos of it hidden and in use? Thanks!

Default Discontinued

I just picked up a 2020 HSE without a tow hitch. I saw the kit listed on the LR USA site and went to order it to find that it's discontinued. I started checking dealers in the US and couldn't find one anywhere. You can still get the module and the two harnesses, but no bracket.

After sighting the existing front and rear recovery points I figured They were beefy enough for off road recovery.

There are a few OEM tow bars listed on ebay. It looks like the part changed from '20 to '21 though. It's hard to tell if the frame mounting pattern changed or not, but the hitch receiver and plug arrangement did. It *might* require a new plastic trim piece, but that's also hard to tell.

You can see the trimming on the underside of the bumper, it also makes a full size spare probably a tighter fit.
