Default Heated winshield?

Mine came with the heated windshield. I have noticed that at night when headlights coming the other way it makes the light look like a dim prism. Looks like it might be the filiments inside the glass.
Any one else notice this?

My 2018 HSE TD6 has the heated windshield. In bright sunlight, you can tell that the whole windshield has tiny filaments laminated to the glass. This is normal.

Normal ours are the same.
Had a Freelander years back with heated windshield and it looked similar.

It was snow and ice here a couple days ago. The windshield did clear off the ice that seems to form while you are driving. So it does work. However, I don't know if I would have ordered it had I known. I drive at night frequently and not sure the trade-off is worth it.

You get used to it. My 99 Discovery II had it, and all my vehicles sinces in it has been 20 years and no longer bothers me.

Agreed. We had it on LR4 and now on DiscoV. It's irritating when you first see it (and more noticeable at night). But once you look through vs at it, you don't notice any more
And being able to see when it's icy is a bonus!

My first experience with Heated windshield was with my LR3. I’ve had it on every LR I’ve had since then, and even my current Volvo has it. It bothered me a bit at first, but haven’t in years now.... I quite enjoy not having to scrape ice off the windshield
