I was recently at the LR dealership (never the start of a story with a good ending)...
Had the brakes replaced and flushed on my 17 Discovery and asked them to check out a coolant leak. They found a leak in the "heater manifold" and the "inlet/outlet pipe" and quoted me $5k in parts and labor just for the coolant repair, then another $3500 to repair the compressor assembly and suspension airlines. I declined the service but asked them for the part numbers for the repairs and they refused to give them to me (said they're not allowed). I tried to argue that I paid for it - $229 diagnostic fee - but they still refused.
I realize this is a bit ambiguous, but does anyone know the PNs for the heater manifold and inlet/outlet pipe? I would like to order them and either do it myself or get it done by my local mechanic for a lot less.
In case you care...I normally don't use the dealership, but we were in a crunch to get the brakes done and I purchased a third party warranty that I WRONGFULLY believed would cover the repairs. That's a whole other issue...
I am getting ready for my 17 to be back in the road in the coming weeks after a bad tank of gas. I changed the rear manifold heat (rear cross over) pipe 2 years ago but since it is off again I am having them use the new aluminum versions that were released. Not a bad job to do at home like I did 2 years ago but the supercharger does need to come off. Sadly it is being fixed to trade in.
Finally replace the radiator if it has not been done yet. Might as well knock out all known issues while you are in there. I found a Nissans radiator on fleabay for around $200.
Having mine done by an independent LR specialist. Asked them about the aluminum replacements and they said the factory now has upgraded plastic ones with no seam that is a better solution, since there are so many different suppliers on eBay and Amazon with the aluminum ones with unknown overseas manufacturing standards.
@Donc98 Good to know! I was looking at those aluminum parts - thanks for the info and links - very helpful. Any chance you can link a video for the swap? I've done quite a bit of the work on my 99 Disco II, but that's not a regular driver. This is our family vehicle, so I'm more hesitant to figure it out as I go.
There is an updated version of the front cross over which I used 2 years ago. The shop (who I have known 20+ years and worked over several of my rovers) has tried the aluminum replacements with success. The biggest issue they have seen is with the rubber seals they include. The SM mentioned they never use what was in the kit but replace with LR specific ones.
For part number I find researching through Land Rover Lake bluff parts has helped over the years. They may not have it in stock or over priced but at least I have actual LR part number. Water Pump for 2017 Land Rover Discovery | Land Rover Parts Now (landroverlakebluff.com)

Land Rover Lake Bluff is awesome. When I moved from Chicago to Nashville, I still drove the 500 miles back to Lake Bluff to have work done on both the 2017 diesel and the 2018 gas Discovery’s I’ve owned, after many issues with the Nashville dealer. One of 3 LR-only dealers left I think. I’m now in Colorado and one of the other LR-only dealers has been good, although now that I’m at 120k miles I’m going to try the local LR specialist.

Thanks for the help - just got everything ordered, including LR gaskets...I told my mechanic friend what I'm about to do and he made sure to tell me to order LR gaskets.
LR Lake Bluff site was great, too. Everything I needed was in stock. Bookmarked that site!
