JLR, Landrover USA, or my Dealer?
So, I've whined before about my pathetic service dept here but is it really that or something higher up?
Just resetting codes and giving it back to you.
Taking 4 mths to fix the ground stud problem. [yes, we only had a 32 mth, 36 mth lease]
4 trips to fix P2002.
Put in a defective windshield on the recall that cracked before she even got home. Blamed road hazard.
just to name a few . . .
Now, we took it in before 50K for a P0080 which I believe is just the EGR sensor? Like usual, they just reset the code and gave it back. CE was on before she got 3 miles. Before they could get us back in we surpassed 50K. Now they want $2100 to fix it. And . . . the Landrover 7/100 Ext Warranty does not cover it.
Of course I cannot get hardcopy of that. Only the title page. My bad for NOT doing that before I bought the residual but, in all honesty, this is our 5th Eurowagon, 4 out of 5 with extended warranties, and this is our FIRST related issue.
Is this exception or rule with Landrover?
Next closest dealer is 2.5hrs south at OKC or 3hrs NE at KC and would they be any better?
Thanks a bunch for thought and opinions . . .
I have a meeting later this week with local dealer management.
We STILL love this car. Truly a shame . . .

My dealer in Denver is not like that so I think you have a bad dealer.
Maybe try contacting your OKC or KC dealer by phone, talking to a service manager, tell them you are a potential new customer and see if they will get you a printout of your 7/100 warranty.

Well, had to just bypass the service manager and go straight to the general manager but they agreed to take care of the problem especially after reading our entire service history. Of course, 12/1 was their first available apt and it is not actually fixed yet but there is at least progress.
Maybe I need to visit Denver more often . . . just sayin! We love CO.
