I doubt I'll do anything - everything seems to be working satisfactorily so why mess with it? Unless they want to send me a check...

We don't get any money, but we do get a free retrofit/upgrade to the vehicle's existing InControl system to enable future InControl System software upgrades to be delivered wirelessly (via the internet) without the need to bring the vehicle to a dealer. Additionally, JLRNA will provide a 1-year warranty covering repairs or replacements for the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) of the InControl system. The warranty will begin on the date the Settlement Agreement is executed (the Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on 10 October 2024).

I intend to take advantage of this.

after reading it says 2018 - 2020 years which omit my 2017 that has the same issue.
2017 is included. Go to https://www.georgevjlrnainfotainmentsettlement.com/ and plug in your VIN.

I will just let the dealership handle it after trade in. Going to test drive a 130X today so I might be starting a new project soon.

You might need that one year warranty but how will you feel if a now working system gets updated and gets hosed and the dealer tells you it’s a problem with some other part besides the covered IMC? Or next they tell you yes the IMC needs to be replaced and the warranty will cover it but there’s no IMC available anywhere. And you can’t drive the D5 without it because too many other controls need to be accessed via that display. I’ve been there. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

If the IMC breaks during the warranty period it will be covered. If there's no IMC readily available and the D5 can't be driven until it's fixed, we'll garage the D5 (pending installation of a new IMC) and use the other three vehicles (two trucks and a car) that my wife and I have.

And if they say it’s also the yourscrewed module instead or additionally to the IMC and the yourscrewed module is $2000 and not covered?

Then I'll pay the $2000. As long as my D5 is worth fixing I'll keep it running. If the engine grenades or the transmission fails, I'll give the title to the dealer and walk away from it.

They new about this IMC problems since 2017 version. They charged quite a lot folks for updates which is a shame.
I have 2017 Discovery TD6 and went through their gimmicks and fighting.
I am in Canada so probably will have to start new lawsuit in here. Time to research again.
But man brands like LR should not have such a low brand self respect i mean they are getting good hefty payments
