Adaptive Cruise Control - I intend to do this one once I verify the wiring is present behind the bumper.

Surround Camera System - I'm currently building a BOM to see what this will look like. Most of the video cables are available as harness overlay repair parts and I've located most of them. The main video cables I can't source yet are the one from the front bumper connector and ends through the firewall under the dash and the cable that connects the camera control module output to the infotainment control module input. It's possible these are included in the default engine bay and body harness, but I won't know until I do some disassembly. The side mirrors will need to be replaced and the four cameras installed, a terrifying amount of the interior needs to come out to route the cables, and I will have to come up with a solution to hold the front camera in the front bumper hole. There's a different bumper part number which has the bracket permanently welded to the inside of the bumper skin and is not available as a separate part. Am I delusional in thinking I can pull this off? Probably. The trade in value is so poor on these anymore that I may still come out ahead vs trading up for another D5 or Defender.
So I have seen others that have had features unlocked because the hardware is either there or you can add it. Like the Tow Assistance. I have 360 camera and tow connect but not the $500.00 tow assistance that allows you to use terrain know to reverse with trailer and other things like connecting to a trailer. So its my understanding you need to replace **** with one that has tow stamp on dial. Do you know if you're able to unlock it with what you're using? Can you also add the emergency stop in cruise if you have the sensor and cameras and cruise with LIM? I saw others who charge to unlock features in England. Im in the US and after seeing this post even though a year old. Thought I would ask. I have 2018 LD Discovery 5 HSE with every option but tow assistance. 😆

Default Park assist on HSE spec D5

A lot of these settings are from my old notes and I'm putting them here for reference. If you change anything on yours, make detailed notes of your old settings so you can revert things to the last working state. I won't be responsible if something breaks on your truck, but these settings did work for me.

So Park Assist will work even with standard parking sensors?
Mine is D5 2018 HSE. Do you think I would be able to activate it?
Just want to make sure it will work before trying

Thanks

I have a question about setting up a tow bar.

I have added a tow bar, and in GAP, I have informed the system that the vehicle has a standard 13-pin socket; however, the parking sensors still activate in reverse when the trailer is attached. Does anyone know what the proper setting are that I need to activate?

I have 360 parking sensors or whatever they're called and no 360 cameras. It's important that you have the sensors on the side of the bumper right in front of the front wheel for it to work. TBH it's mostly a gimmick and I rarely ever use it. Visibility is pretty decent in the D5 and parking on your own is way faster.

Is your trailer incandescent or LED? The truck may have difficulty detecting the LED lights due to the lower load.

Adding another one here since I can't edit the first post for some reason. I was able to get ACC working and plan to do a separate post on how I installed the radar unit without the harness pre-wire in the bumper.

Adaptive Cruise Control
T5-034 Powertrain Elements 1 - Cruise = ACC fitted
T5-133 Acc Ecu - Market = US
T5-185 Powertrain Elements 2 - Jaguar Cruise Fitment = ACC with Queue Assit fitted
T5-185 Powertrain Elements 2 - Cc Display Type = ACC + priority messages
T5-192 Instrument Pack 3 - Acc Indication In Instrument Cluster = Enabled
EUCD-023 Cruise Control = Adaptive Cruise Control Stop & Go
MultiCAN-580 PTCruiseFitment = ACC with Queue Assist fitted
