Question Left Boot Trim Removal

Hi ALl,

Has anyone removed the left boot trim before? I have the section for the workshop manual from Topix but i'm a little confused on removing the deployable load floor cable.

The image show whats in the manual, basically a simple picture and nothing more.

Any help would be appreciated, it's

so I can run the cable harness for the deployable side steps.

Cheers, Andy

I figured this out with some help from the Facebook group, you just push the metal clip up or down on the piece and it will then come off. After that its fairly simple

Did you buy the Land Rover deployable side steps? I looked into them but they were pricey, I’ve seen a copy from China but was concerned about quality given everything has to move and sit in the elements, plus the wiring etc.
Whichever version you have I’d be curious about the cost, install process, quality and how well they work in real life....

Bought the genuine parts and finished fitting them today. Wiring was a bit of a pain initially but only due to not knowing how some little bits came off. I bought some of the parts on eBay, others from LRParts. I think all in it was less than £1500 and the mounting brackets are seriously strong and heavy so i'm happy they are good.

I also have a genuine DOIP cable and Pathfinder so I was able to activate them, I also activated the Activity Key earlier this week.

Fitting the roof rails tomorrow
