Default Lost key fob

We misplaced one of our key fobs and the dealer quotes $329 for new fob + 118.5 for emergency key blade + $195 for reprogramming. I was wondering if there's a less expensive alternative to the ~$650 OEM key fob. Anyone with any experience?

Ask a local locksmith if they can provide one. Not from experience, just a suggestion that might be worth checking out.

My wife lost hers. Had to bend over and pay the ridiculous price at dealer. Couldn’t find any other options. Hers now has a PebbleBee tracker on it

Dealer informed me that keys are on back order - wait time is 2 month! => received an OEM key from a third party (paid $65) which I will take to the dealer for reprogramming....

Which 3rd party supplier did you get yours from and did it work when you went to have it programmed? I need to replace by backup key that I lost, but would rather not get raped by Land Rover if I can help it.

I bought an OEM key from a salvaged Land Rover via Facebook marketplace ($65) and dealer reprogramming worked like a charm ($160). Very happy to have spent "only" $225 vs the quoted $650.
