My Si6 just got about 25 mpg on a roundtrip from metro Denver to Steamboat Springs and Steamboat Lake. About 400 plus miles. For those of you unfamiliar with Colorado, my trip, with diversions, includes climbing from about 5000 feet elevation up to over 11000 elevation, then down to 9000 and lower, then over Rabbit Ears Pass at 9400 feet, down to Steamboat Springs at elevation 6700, and onward to Steamboat Lake over Willow Creek Pass about 9700 elevation. And same thing on return.
I did have some lower speeds due to icy and snowpacked roads, especially over Rabbit Ears Pass and much of the way to Kremmling.
It runs just great. Plenty of torque. No desire for more. I rarely tow anything.

Variety of different specs for oil for your gasoline/petrol variant, as well. Nothing fancy about either's oil requirements.

It’s not about diesel vs gas but about the turbine and now it’s lubricated. The strictness of the oil generally has to do with the requirements to lubricate the turbine which operates by far with the tightest tolerances.

The big question here is what’s going to be under the hood. According to preliminary information, the standard versions of the Discovery will get 48-volt support from integrated starter-generator systems. This solution should be applied to both the gasoline and diesel units. In addition, a new plug-in hybrid system should also be launched and we expect it to be larger and more powerful than the 1.5-liter PHEV mill that was recently introduced for the Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport.
Adding a 48V system may or may not be interesting, but I didn't want a hybrid anything. Straight six diesel is likely given the relationship/contract with Ford expires in September.

My contact said there’s a possibility that they might change all the intouch systems to the system the Defender uses. Meaning we might be able to download or upload to the new system. I forget what it’s called.

My lease is coming up next year, and I was really hoping for a v8 option.
