Default Mirror Tilt Down in Reverse

Hi,
Is the passenger side mirror tilt down in reverse feature able to be activated via an OBD tool on a 2020 Disco?

And, if so, which tool can do it?

Thanks!

Reverse dip mirrors can be activated/deactivated in the vehicle settings on the instrument cluster. If you're only looking to disable the passenger mirror, the tool that might be able to do it would be a GAP IID G4 tool, which allows you to change the car configuration files (CCF files). The GAP tool is something every LR owner should have. You can read/clear codes, change CCF files to activate features, adjust the air suspension settings, and so much more.

Thanks. But the mirror dip option only shows in settings if that option was purchased. What I'm wondering is if the feature is actually already on the vehicle if not purchased and can be activated via the scan tool.

Reverse dip mirrors are connected to the memory seats. If you don't have memory seats, you don't have reverse dip mirrors. Technically the hardware is there, as all you need are power mirrors, but the software isn't. But the option to activate it might be there in the CCF files.

I'm pretty sure you can change the CCF files to activate reverse dip if you don't have memory seats, but I would contact the folks at GAP Diagnostic for confirmation on that. They'll be able to tell you for sure. The only tool that you can do this with is the GAP tool, or if you have access to JLR's Pathfinder diagnostic software.

Yes, it can. I have a 2019 SE without memory seats / reverse dip. I had to activate both with the GAP tool (just the reverse dip setting didn't work), and it popped up as an option in the car settings.
While in reverse, you can also set how far down / out the mirror moves when tilting.
