I do not have a pic.

Once you remove the armor plating, you'll see the drain plug, and a few inches away you'll see the Tube connected, that leads back up to the top, for siphoning.

Be aware when you remove the plug, it has quiet a bit of pressure. Hold your catch container out, sorta horizontal with the drain plug.( only a few seconds, then you can sit down.)

I think... You are supposed to replace the plug with a new one once removed. May pertain to older models?

Super easy from the top. Mitivac pump or similar. Open oil filler cap. You'll see a small metal tube. Attach the mityvac to the tube and pump it out. Then pour in the new oil. 20 minute job. All from above the car. It's what the dealers do

Its is better for me. I like to inspect my under side.

Everyone is different.

As far as the drain plug, If it needs to be replaced, I keep one on hand to replace it. I do not replace it with every oil change.

X2 on Mitivac system. Makes oil changes a super breeze.

Drain plug is an option. Gotta drop the underside cover (I would say skid plate, but I'm not sure its stout enough for that designation). Also not too difficult.

Only issue is that used diesel engine oil is NASTY. Disposable gloves are very nice to have here.

I am not sure about that.

@ponderosajack might know that answer.

Hey gmfain, what made you decide to clean your DEF injector?

I ask because I keep getting a CEL that I'm sure is regen related. Trouble is, the light will reset after a decent length drive (25-30+mins at highway speeds), but then it will come back on just a few days later. I'll do another long drive, it'll reset....then a few days later, back on.

Wondering if this could be related.

Thx.
