Default My D5 build 2017 TD6 HSE Lux

Going to try and document my D5 upgrades.

First Up is the 18" PD1881 Compomotive wheels From Lucky8.

I paired them with the BFG's KM3 Mud Terrain Size 265/60 R18---- 30.5 Tall 10.4 Wide, no rods, no tire rub.

I will say make sure you have the smaller brake calipers, and even then there is a chance you will have to grind a 1/16" off the peak area of the rear caliper. I had to.

Thanks to Lucky8 .... Great folks!....https://lucky8llc.com/

I will also add this about the Compomotive wheels. I opted to purchase the Titan TPMS sensors I saw in another thread. Here is the link to what I purchased.

Have your tire store, activate or wake them up. 5 minute down the road they registered and are working fine.

Install went well. I opted to eliminate the debris shields. For a mud buggy like this, they are not needed. Its 96% covered with 3/16 inch thick steel.

Now waiting on my hidden winch tray from Lucky8. 2 weeks out....

build is looking good! no issues with the TPMS sensors? the titan site only lists them for the 2018-2019 Discovery. can't imagine they would be different between years, but sometimes you never know.

will you be doing the front winch tray install yourself? I'll be curious to see how it goes if you do.

The sensors are fine. They sent me the ones to order, I also was confused with their website. Have your tire store "wake the sensors up", or your Disco won't find them.

I will be installing the winch tray myself. I will post my progress on here.

Thanks for the interest!

Still waiting on my hidden winch tray from Lucky8, the virus put it behind.

In the mean time here are some shots from the trail.

Looking great! I'm wanting to add the winch tray, too. But I'm really concerned with how involved it seems to be. I would absolutely appreciate as many pics as you can take along the way!
