It has done this once or twice before and corrected itself.

The sound does not turn on in any scenario (phone, bluetooth, audio/radio, etc.). The volume control does not effect anything - the volume bars appear when I turn the know but the bar does not increase or decrease.

I have let reboot three times completely - including over night. Still nothing.

It was updated to the latest software revision approx 7k miles ago (3-4 months).

Anyone else experience that issue?

 

Hi had this issue and it was resolved with a software update. What version are you on?

 

I would have to look at exact but it was updated to 19C.

Just looked - it is 19C_46..4-458817

 

Stopped at dealer and they said do a hard reset (pulling negative off battery for 15-20mins). This reset all modules and "fixed" the issue. The whole system seems to be better and faster after this reset.

 

Well...my 2018 has been at the dealers for a week. Apparently there is a gremlin with many LR's. Mine at times wouldn't boot up at all.

My dealer said that the hard reset generally works but they have had a couple that needed new modules. The new system coming out on the 2020 defenders and on is supposed to be better and not have all this garbage.

 

My 2021 ranger does the same thing.. randomly.. all day yesterday on a long trip i was so mad.. taking to dealer now
so annoying
